IT285OS This metal (un plated) headlamp opening surround ring pair is custom manufactured by Italia Reproductions for the Italia. On this over sized ring the tapered holes are not provided but marked to the location of the holes on the part. This is required due to the material that might be removed from the inner or outer portion of the ring which can change the centering of the holes in relation to the edges of the part. This product is intended to be used in conjunction with our custom produced IT106 clear headlamp covers. These rings were patterned from a 1973 Italia that is a non hit factory front end. I have been informed that even on that car there were variances of the left and right head lamp openings. This oversized ring is intended for cars that have already been painted. Of course the fitting of this over sized ring to a painted car will require care. Chroming of the rings will be required after final fitting. When you have performed the final fitting of the rings you should have consistent width around the entire ring. In other words you will be removing metal from the outer and inner ring.
